Information used by the service

Wallpapers and network requests

When an app or browser contacts our service, Cloudflare processes technical request information such as IP address, request URL, time, and device or browser details to deliver content, maintain security, and troubleshoot failures. We use the requester’s IP address to limit custom image requests. Daily artwork and its descriptive metadata are stored in Cloudflare R2 and KV and delivered through our Worker.

Ideas, prompts, and custom images

If you request a prompt draft or a custom wallpaper, your idea or prompt is sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker and Workers AI for processing. A generated custom image is stored in Cloudflare R2 at a public URL. Anyone with that URL can view or save the image. The prompt can also appear in custom image metadata held by our reward verification service; please avoid entering private or sensitive information.

Draft limits and ad verification

To enforce the daily prompt draft limit, Android sends its app-scoped Android identifier and iPhone or iPad sends an identifier derived from Apple’s identifier for vendor. Our service hashes the identifier to select a quota record; the raw identifier is not stored in that record. To verify rewarded ads, we process a one-time token, Google’s ad transaction identifier, and related verification data. We keep request counts and verification records to prevent abuse and repeated rewards.

Advertising

The Android, iPhone, and iPad apps use Google AdMob for banner and rewarded ads; Android may also show interstitial ads. Google may process advertising identifiers, IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, app interactions, and diagnostic data for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. Google’s handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. The Mac app does not include AdMob.

Information kept on your device

The apps store downloaded images and settings locally, such as update preferences, recent status, and draft text. On iPhone and iPad, saving an image to Photos uses the add-only Photos permission. Android uses system permissions to set the wallpaper, restore daily scheduling after restart, and optionally show notifications. The Mac app uses system wallpaper controls and stores its update preference locally. Apple Shortcuts may run the iOS app’s action to download the current image and apply it using Apple’s wallpaper action.

How long information remains

• Our scheduled cleanup removes daily wallpaper images and date metadata older than about 365 days. A failed cleanup is retried on a later run.
• Prompt draft counts apply to the current UTC day. Older daily counts are cleared when that quota record is next used; the hashed record identifier itself can remain in Cloudflare storage.
• Custom images currently have no automatic expiry. Their URLs and cached copies may remain available after an image is removed from our storage. If you want us to locate a custom image for deletion, email us its URL.
• Ad verification and rate-limit records are kept as needed for fraud prevention and service operation; some expired records are cleared during later requests. Cloudflare and Google may retain operational records under their own policies.
• Local app data remains until you clear app data or uninstall the app, subject to your device’s backup and photo settings.

Service providers and choices

We use Cloudflare for hosting, storage, security, and AI processing, and Google for ads on Android, iPhone, and iPad. These providers may process information in countries where they operate. This policy page itself contains no third-party scripts or analytics code.

You can use daily wallpapers without submitting a custom prompt. You can disable optional Android notifications or automatic updates in the app or device settings, and manage advertising preferences through your device and Google settings. You can also remove locally saved images from your device.

For questions or requests to access or delete information we control, email support@heyluna.in. Include a custom image URL if you want us to find that image; we do not have user accounts that link images to a name or email address.

Children and policy changes

Daily Wallpaper is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us so we can review the request.

We may update this policy when the app or our providers change. The effective date at the top will change when we publish a revision.
